I'm Maxwell Fajardo, a photographer and video director based in Madrid. I trained in multimedia engineering, and today I take care of the image of brands that need thoughtful photo and video without going through a production company.
I learned to look through the films of Hirokazu Kore-eda.
His films find what matters in small things: a family meal, a passing train, a conversation in a low voice. There is no artifice to distract you; there is time, natural light and attention.
I try to work the same way with brands. Before adding anything, I look for the image that is already there and give it the framing and the time it needs.
Plenty of white space, vertical composition and a single colour used sparingly.
