How to delete what is stored when you comment on Instagram.

What is stored

If you comment a keyword (such as «FORMATOS») on a post by @maxwellideas, the automatic reply system stores your username, the text of the comment, its identifier and the date, only so it doesn’t send you the same message twice. Nothing else is stored and it isn’t used for anything else.

How long it lasts

Comment identifiers delete themselves after 8 days. The log of messages sent keeps at most the latest 500, and older ones are removed as new ones come in.

How to have it deleted now

Write to me at hola@maxwellfajardo.com or send a private message to @maxwellideas with your Instagram username. I’ll delete your data within 30 days at most and confirm once it’s done.

Messages you’ve already received stay in your Instagram inbox; you can delete them yourself there. And if you delete your comment, the system won’t read it again.
