Film. Silhouettes. The atmosphere of Kyoto captured at its most serene.

Photo Series / Travel & Slice of Life

One city, one atmosphere. A visual journey through what remains when the noise fades.

One part of this series is about form. Rooftops cut out against the sunset sky, geometry in the windows, the vertical scale of the towers. All of it captured in search of texture, symmetry and the contrast between traditional architecture and modern urban elements.

Other parts dwell on the moment. Water running over stone, empty streets at dawn in Higashiyama, light filtering through. An almost tactile approach to materials: weathered wood, worn roof tiles, the grain of photographic film.

Kyoto is neither a documentary record nor a travel guide. It is an exploration of visual silence, an attempt to translate the memory of a place, and how its air felt, into a purely aesthetic, analogue language.
